About us

The center in Linz was opened in May 1985 within the historic center of Linz. In December 1983 Lama Ole Nydahl was there and gave a dharma lecture in the festival room, which triggered the development of the center. The summer course in Füssen in 1985 also brought us in contact with Tibetan lamas of our lineage and they visited us in Linz shortly after the course. In November 1991 we moved to a newer and bigger center in Reuchlinstrasse 53.

After a short time in Linz Leonding, our center is now in the representative rooms at the Linzer Hauptplatz 15 since April 2003. We also offer a retreat house, a cabin, that was build up by the activity of our sangha. From chopping down the trees to completion we did all by ourselves. Inspired by the advice of our teachers, we found an optimal, quiet place for it, located in the Mühlviertel among friends. The retreat house offers place for 1 - 2 persons (please contact Hans Pölzl +43/(0)699-12339522 for further information and reservation).
